The Office of Minority Economic Impact (OMEI) was established under the National Energy Conservation Policy Act (Public Law 95-619) on November 9, 1978. OMEI is one of three subagencies that make up the Department of Energy’s Office of Economic Impact and Diversity (ED). As such, the primary mission of OMEI is to build effective partnerships between the Department and minority institutions, increase the capabilities of such institutions to compete effectively for grants and contracts, and to increase their participation in Department programs. __________ Source: https://diversity. doe.gov/minority/about. htm https://management. energy.gov/documents/Part_3_Minority_Economic_Impact. pdf
