Learn how to find, purchase, and qualify traffic violations leads as a legal practitioner.
Traffic violation leads offer legal professionals a steady stream of potential clients facing citations for offenses such as speeding, reckless driving, or DUI. These leads are valuable for attorneys who focus on traffic defense or license restoration cases.
These leads often involve individuals at risk of fines, license suspension, or increased insurance rates. They create consistent opportunities for attorneys to assist clients in minimizing penalties and protecting their driving records.
Early estimates project that traffic fatalities in the U.S. decreased in 2024. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimated 39,345 traffic fatalities in 2024, a decrease of about 3.8% compared to the 40,901 fatalities reported in 2023. This marks the first time since 2020 that the number of fatalities fell below 40,000. The fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles traveled also decreased to 1.20 in 2024, the lowest since 2019, although still above the pre-COVID average. Another preliminary analysis by the National Safety Council estimated slightly higher numbers, with 44,680 preventable traffic deaths in 2024, a decrease of less than 1% from 2023. Speeding continues to be a significant factor in fatal traffic crashes. In 2024, speeding contributed to 27.85% of all fatal traffic crashes in the U.S., accounting for 10,922 deadly incidents. Approximately one-third of drivers killed in fatal crashes (33.43%) were speeding at the time of the accident. Speeding was also a factor in nearly 8% of pedestrian deaths.
